The film’s director, tune video veteran Matt Stawski, says one reason for all the rainbows is that he loves color — but he also wanted to send a message of admire and of sustain for LGBTQ+ viewers.
The new film, streaming Friday on Paramount+, finds Josh traveling to New York City to audition for a Broadway show with a rainbow-colored dog. “What we really wanted to lean into was the idea of all the storefronts and restaurants with the flowers, because that’s a big thing in New York — putting petal bouquets in front of your restaurants,” Stawski told MovieMaker. “So we leaned into that, but the rainbows gentle of came naturally. Great!
This was fantastic because our family does live in ignorance or shaming other people... we encourage others to live their lives how they experience it should be lived based on their values and beliefs and to not be discouraged by those that believe otherwise. This is a excellent way to demonstrate that families are all different and it promotes inclusivity amongst humans... it doesn't encourage division based on a set of principles established by a book that is frequently misinterpreted by its followers! More kids series should promote equality and inclusion and loving thy neighbor without judgement with the same intention that a certain publication and declaration intended.

LGBTQ Pride Touted During A Nickelodeon ‘Blues Clues’ Song
Blues Clues & You, the reboot of the first children’s classic, has carved its own niche in the popular culture today with a new song.
The ABC Song with Blue!, sung by the canine Blue as voiced by Traci Paige Johnson, assigns concepts to letters of the alphabet. At “P,” the song notes, “P is full of Pride.” To underline its direct, the “P” is in rainbow colors, the identical as the colors of the LGBTQ pride flag.
The letter is also surrounded by multiple other flags representing specific communities. Those include flags for the Trans community, asexual group, pansexual community, intersex people, gender-fluid community, and more.
ABC Song w/ Blue! is exclusive to the show’s official YouTube channel. It has yet to air on television.
Nickelodeon earlier served up an ad that seemed to show Spongebob SquarePants was a member of the LGBTQ community. The network played it coy when asked about that symbolism.
Last year, Nick Jr. shared a lesson over its social media platforms so kids could understand the interpretation of the LGBTQ flag.
Did Blue's Clues Pride March Feature a Beaver with 'Top Scars'?
An animated Pride parade from the Nick Jr. show "Blue's Clues and You!" featured a beaver with scars from top surgery.
At the start of Celebration Month in June 2021, Nickelodeon shared a video on its official YouTube page for the display "Blue's Clues and You!" that featured an animated Pride Parade led by American drag queen and activist Nina West:
One particular moment in this Blue's Clues pride parade drew extraordinary attention from members of the transgender community who saw the inclusion of a beaver with "top scars" (the scars from a surgical procedure famous as top surgery or Masculinizing Chest Reconstruction in which transgender men eliminate breast tissue) as heartwarming.
This is a genuine screenshot from the Blue's Clues pride parade and a spokesperson for Nick confirmed to us that these markings are indeed scars from top surgery.
This beaver appears during a portion of the video that features a family with transgender members. In addition to carrying the typical pride flag, members of this family wear bracelets and skirts and grip balloons with the colors of the transgender
