Young Justice Characters Who Are Members Of The Gay Community

Young Justice is an animated series that follows the many sidekicks of the DC Universe as they work to demonstrate themselves as full-fledged heroes in their own right and balance the struggles of teenage life. Unlike similar shows DC Super Hero Girls and Teen Titans Go!, Young Justice takes a more important approach and tackles mature themes of grief, PTSD, performance-enhancing drugs, and more.

During the first 2 seasons on Cartoon Network, the series needed to connect the standards of the kids' network, only allowing the series to tap on the more mature themes it wanted to. After being canceled in 2013, the show was brought back as a DC Universe Original and HBO Max Original for its fourth season. The move from a cable channel to a more mature streaming service allowed the creators free-range to explore the characters in ways they couldn’t before. Something Season 3 highlighted was the immense diversity within the larger DC Universe, not only across characters of different races and species, but also in gender and sexual orientation. In addition to the many heterosexual couples on the show, it was rev

Aquaman confirmed as Lgbtq+ in new 'Young Justice' episode

In huge news for fans of the DC Universe, Aquaman has been revealed as Queer in a new episode of Cartoon Network animated series Young Justice: Outsiders.

In an episode of the series titled 'Quiet Conversations', Kaldur’Ahm AKA Aqualad AKA Aquaman shares a lovely touch with Wynnde, an Atlantean metahuman, while the pair keep hands.

It's not a complete out-of-the-blue training, however, with Kaldur telling his father, Black Manta, he’s gay in a past comic, which the show is based on. In the comic, his dad responds with: “You say that as though you’re asking me a question. You ponder I care? We’re all just meat.”

While fans of the series were speedy to celebrate the development on social media, Aquaman isn't putting a label on his sexuality just yet.

“To meet, Kaldur has only been truly in love twice: with Tula and with Wyynde," Greg Weisman, author and producer of Young Justice said, according to gamer4k.com.

"He has dated other people, including Rocket. But he has only been in devote twice”, Weisman added.

Even though I stopped watching Young Justice a long moment ago, I’m content the animated series Young Justice: Outsiders finally made it obvious to everyone that Kaldur (the new Aquaman) isn’t straight. He even got to contribute a kiss with his boyfriend during the latest episode.

Kaldur has been through a lot during the time between seasons 2 and 3 of Young Justice. Due to Aquaman (King Orin) leaving the Justice League to command Atlantis, Kaldur took up the celebrated name. Other than that, his previous love interest (Tula) died, and he got to comprehend his father was the villainous Shadowy Manta. His most recent mission with his teammates also hadn’t gone smoothly.

Anyway, during episode 20, titled “Quiet Conversations,” we saw Kaldur take a recent meta-teen girl to Atlantis. In the final seconds of the episode, Kaldur kissed a adolescent Atlantean. Leave a comment if you all know who Kaldur’s boyfriend is.

I’ve been waiting for such a moment ever since the new Aquaman came out as homosexual in the comic books. It was about time the animated series followed suit.

As for Kaldur (from the animated series) being completely gay like his comic book counterpart, I

The New Aquaman Revealed As Gay In Young Justice: Outsiders

The latest episode of Young Justice: Outsiders reveals the new Aquaman is queer . As it turns out, Kaldur, Young Justice's unused Aquaman, is dating another Atlantean man. While it's unclear if Kaldur has determined that he is gay or bisexual, it's certain that he stands somewhere on the LGBTQIA spectrum.

One of the six teenage sidekicks who originally formed the Justice League's covert operations group, Kaldur was granted a chance to become Arthur Curry's protege after saving the first Aquaman's life during a battle with Ocean Master. Studious and mature beyond his years, Kaldur threw himself into the role of superhero, holding the responsibilities of his position in high honor. He didn't allow himself any distractions from his duty, save for his romantic feelings for Tula - a fellow pupil at the Conservatory of Sorcery in Atlantis. He abandoned his crush, however, after learning that she had become involved with his best friend while Kaldur was on the surface leading The Team. After that, Kaldur seemed to become married to his work, devoting himself entirely to becoming a worthy successor to the role of Aquaman.

With every recent season that a television show goes through there are bound to be changes, which is necessary to keep it fresh and interesting. Well, Little Justice has definitely made the turn down “Interesting Street” at blazing speed, starting with Aquaman exiting the Justice League to rule Atlantis.
