I hope it stays love this. I’m fine with Ukraine flag, I’m okay with OGS logo, I’m fine with Israel flag, but Palestine or Russia would be ridiculous

I speak Arabic and the things I read about this topic on my Facebook feed makes me sick to my Stomach. People were actually celebrating Oct 7th and putting Palestinian flags in their pfp. I’ve seen enough to make me remain with Israel completely.

I assume they’re talking about this one, but idk
Oh?
I also see this here only, also after refreshing:
So that may be a case where someone manipulated some CSS or something locally (i.e. on their machine; I understand nothing of this so absolve me if I don’t use correct terminology) because they didn’t like the Ukraine-themed OGS logo?
I faintly remember that there was some thread here that discussed how to complete th

The flag appears to be the event flag with the Palestinian flag overlaid on it two stripes deep.
The third photo from the same source, https://img.haarets.co.il/img/1.10372858/2416642835.jpg shows that the Palestinian flag occupies a bit less than two stripes of the rainbow flag, is attached not quite symmetrically, and there is a fold which reveals that it was not stuck completely when it had been attached. Due to this last feature, perhaps th

color me idiotic but how are those two issues combined?
What’s super odd about that combo is that the Palestinians are … let us utter … not recognizable for their LBGTQ tolerance.

As far as I’m alert that political combination is more often seen in the United States.
In the Netherlands you will more often view a combination of environmental activism and anti-racism with Palestinian flags.
LGBTQ+ is not as much a polarising issue here on the progressive-conservative political axis, because our conservatives are not as tightly linked to conservative christianity as they are in the United States.

I don’t get this either. David Wood’s theory was that the left and the Islamists both think they can use the other group to their advantage against ordinary enemies before taking them over too

We have a political party here that aims at Muslim voters as skillfully as ethnicity-related inclusivity voters (DENK, getting some 2% of votes in elections).
They side more with Palestinians, viewing their treatment by Israel as a
‘No pride in occupation’: gay Palestinians on ‘pink-washing’ in Gaza conflict
When Daoud, a veteran queer activist, recently walked past rainbow flags hung for Pride month in the old port city of Jaffa, a historic centre of Palestinian culture, he was overcome by a wave of revulsion.
The most famous symbol of LGBTQ+ liberation has been so co-opted by the Israeli state that to a gay Palestinian like him it now serves only as a reminder of the horror unfolding just 60 miles south.
Last November, Israel’s government posted two images from Gaza on its social media account. One shows Israeli soldier Yoav Atzmoni, in battle fatigues, in front of buildings reduced to rubble by Israeli airstrikes. He holds a rainbow flag with a hand-scrawled message: “In the name of love”.
In the second he poses beside a tank, grinning as he displays an Israeli flag with rainbow borders. “The first ever Event flag raised in Gaza,” the caption for both images reads.
At the hour, Israeli attacks had killed more than 10,000 Palestinians in Gaza, including more than 4,000 children, according to Gazan health ministry figures. The toll has now risen to over 37,000, and more than a million people are on
