Young blacks go gay for money

'Growing up, it felt like I was too gay to be black and too black to be gay'

So until I was in my early twenties, I buried my feelings and tried my best to pretend to be straight. I went through a period as a teen of praying every night, begging God to make me straight so I would fit in. When my friends used to declare things like “that’s so gay” - meaning something was uncool - I’d join in so I wouldn't remain out.

But by the time I turned 21, I couldn’t suppress my sexuality anymore. I knew pretty much nothing about the homosexual community, and was eager to acquire . So I created a Twitter profile using a bogus name and used it to chat to guys online.

It felt like I was living a double life. It was upsetting, but also exhilarating. I started messaging a man and, before long, we were seeing each other. I had my first sexual exposure with him and I felt so free when we were together. I would sneak out to meet him on the weekend, and for a brief while I felt totally elated. Then I would come home and stay silent about where I’d been, trying to elude my mum’s gaze.

After a few months things with that guy fizzled out, but something inside me was alternative after sleeping with

This essay contains discussion of r/pe and sexual violence against minors.

We need to talk about gay white men and how they get away with the rape and sexual violation of Shadowy folks without society holding them accountable.

Kevin Spacey, the actor recently charged with the sexual assault of a then-under age bus boy, is a fluke. The gay white men who do what he’s done usually get away with it, especially when their victims aren’t light. As a minor, before transitioning, I was coerced and seduced by many older gay white men who preyed on Jet children assumed to be boys, and their tactics became more and more dangerous as I grew into adulthood.

My first experience I can remember with sexual coercion was at the age of 12. I was sitting in the lobby of a doctor’s office as my mother checked in with the registrar for my appointment. A white male, easily in his thirties or forties, took the opportunity to sit next to me and lean to greet me with, “You look like you play basketball”.

What was LGSM?

Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) was an LGBTQIA+ activist group founded in London in July 1984 after founding members, Oldham born Northern Irish raised Mark Ashton and Accrington born Mike Jackson, attended a talk by a striking miner that inspired them to accept collection buckets to London Gay Pride in June 1984.

LGSM were active for the remainder of the 1984 to 1985 Miners’ Strike, with autonomous branches setting up in Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow, and more.  Their main goal was to raise money to support the miners and their families, as many were experiencing financial hardship while they were out on strike.

Who got deeply interested in LGSM?

Many LGSM members were active in leftwing and socialist political campaign.  Mark Ashto
