Like most of today's ideas believed to be relevant to conversation, the concepts and definitions of gender and sex are, by some standards, at the center of topical debate. Since I began writing for the Viewpoints page, I have found that the reoccurring topic of social identities have been of the most widely requested topics.

I am sure that a clear majority of the criticism that I will garner will attack one of two elements of my personhood.
