Waterworks Pub is Albany’s premier LGBTQ+ Pub and Night club.
Located at the commence of Albany’s lgbtq+ village, Waterworks is the oldest gay-oriented LGBTQ+ community lock in Albany where our motto is Unity. Established in 1981, Waterworks is located in a historic multi-level building that enables us to offer something for everyone.
The Pub, located on the first floor proposals a hometown corner Gay Bar atmosphere with a pool table, dart board, Juke Box, sustenance counter with lite bar faire, 10 flat screen televisions, and a professional sound system, move area and stage.
The Club, located on the second floor with a separate bar & smoking patio, is one of the hottest Nightclubs and busiest Nightlife dance clubs in town.
Featuring Albany Hottest DJs spinning the latest Remixes and pumping out more than 15,000 watts of pure energy from our high-quality professional 3-way sound system, along with an astonishing light show including our professional laser system, Waterworks Club offers an trial rarely found in upstate New York.

Pride Center of the Capital Region

Known as the oldest, continuously operating pride center in the country, this organization has been serving the needs of the Gay community since 1970. The Pride Center is always functional to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for the community in the Capital Region. They host various events, community groups, and programs throughout the year, including the annual Capital Pride parade and festival — the largest Pride month celebration in the northeast outside of Recent York City and Boston.

Founded more than 400 years ago, Albany is filled with rich history and traditions, beautiful architecture, spectacular events and entertainment venues, amazing restaurants, and a vibrant and active LGBTQ+ community.
A Welcoming Community
Residents, business leaders, community partners, and public figures labor together to support the LGBTQ+ community in Albany.
- The Pride Center of the Capital Region is the oldest continuously operating Homosexual center in the country. Based in Albany, the Lgbtq+ fest Center has been rendezvous the diverse needs of the LGBTQ+ community since 1970.
- Learn more about the history of the Celebration Center through the Novel York State Museum'sPride exhibit page. In honor of the center's 50th anniversary, the museum collected oral histories from members of the community which resulted in additional panel exhibition the following year which is now available for viewing online.
- The Pride Center of the Capital Region hosts the Capital Pride Festival, one of the largest celebrations of pride in Upstate New York every June.
